About Us

Bonanza Farm began in 1959, three generations ago, founded by Emilio Vega. In 2020, Emilio decided to pass on his passion for coffee to his granddaughter, Karen Vargas. In 2021, Karen and her husband, Captain Robert Ayres, the current owners of the farm, decided to revitalize it under the name BONANZA 89 S.A., inspired by their shared love for coffee. Their focus shifted toward improving processing and cultivation techniques to produce and export high-quality coffee. The farm is located on a tropical mountain, surrounded by a diverse array of birds and wildlife, with fertile soil ideal for coffee cultivation. Today, Robert and Karen work tirelessly to build a thriving and sustainable farm, continuously perfecting their techniques, embracing modern agricultural innovations, and preserving the biodiversity of the environment and the farm.
