Description
Scientific name: Ochroma pyramidale. The balsa is a tree that can reach a height of 20 to 30 meters, with a straight trunk that can easily reach 1 meter in diameter.
It is used in applications such as manual or power tools, the making of mannequins, model aircraft and architectural models, wind turbine blades, gutters, surfboards, floats, handicrafts, sculptures, signs, fruit boxes, among others.
